Myopia and Hyperopia
Some of the most common eye deformities include Myopia (nearsightedness) and Hyperopia (farsightedness), with both conditions respecting the refractive properties of the eye. As an object is observed, the eye adjusts the diameter of the lens dependant on the distance of the object, where the focal point is then converged to the retina of the eye.
In reference to the condition Myopia, the cornea of the eye is too overly curved, thus refracting the focal point in front of the retina. With Hyperopia, the cornea of the eye is too flat, thus portraying the focal point behind the retina.
